How do you start something that is already in motion?
This blog, whilst being the start of something new, is at the same time something completely old-hat. What appears on this blog is both some instantaneous thoughts and musings and at the same time a reflection of each thought and musing that has gone before. It is both my thoughts and musings and the ruminations of the thoughts and musings of those who have gone before. It will no doubt therefore contain a mix of thoughts and musings repeated too often and thoughts and musings that are out of fashion: thus making it completely old-hat. It is also, like the whole blogosphere, an action repeated too often (self-publishing is such a thrill) and so rapidly yesterday (what, someone else has posted something else already?!): again making it completely old-hat.
So to start things off, over the next little while, I might just tip my old-hat towards some of the different folks who have gone before, who have encouraged me to think or muse just a little, or maybe a lot, in this whole area of media theology.
P.S. I was surprised to be able to name this blog media theology - tipping my old-hat towards those kicking it large in media ecology - so if no one else claims the term 'media theology', make sure you tell em you saw it here first. Otherwise let me know who coined it - so I can give kudos where it is due.
Welcome, Adam.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to learn and understand what you think - don't know whether I'll work out 'how' you think though. ;)
Fantastic! I love winning, and this will be a win-win for me, for theology and for the media ecology.Look forward to what you have to say; both old and new.
