"In Jesus Christ, there is no distance or separation between the medium and the message:
it is the one case where we can say that the medium and the message are fully one and the same."
Marshall McLuhan

[Live Video] Hopelessness and Christian Storytelling.

This is the fifth video of Adam Niven' s #FBLiveVideoChallenge for Media Theology. In it Adam talks about the role of hopelessness in Christian storytelling.

Against the more usual "God gets involved and circumstances change miraculously" Christian storylines, Adam argues that there is also a much needed storyline of hopeless circumstances, but still having hope despite those circumstances.

Miracles are miraculous because they aren't the normal. So for many, the reality of not having circumstances change can be very real. Hence why there needs to be Christian storylines willing to embrace these themes.
